How in the world did my sweet, exuberant, hilarious little boy get to be FOUR? I still remember so clearly the day he was born - my water breaking at the Johnson wedding, Daddy greeting him in his tux, his itty bitty body (only 6 lbs, 6 oz), and extremely full dark head of hair. He was a dream baby. A good sleeper, content to watch the world around him. And then he started to move, and we haven't been able to slow him down since. He has an amazing amount of energy, and lately I've started to notice how witty and funny he truly is. A good amount of his humor is potty centered these days, but everyone once in awhile he cracks (pun not intended) a smart joke that takes me by surprise. Along with his exuberance and zest, he's insanely sweet. Quick to express his love and appreciation for those around him, and very generous with hugs and kisses. We love you dear Caden, and feel so lucky that you're our little (yet big) boy!
Is there any better way to start the day than with a few presents?
Andrew wrapped up something special for him...
A smashed packing peanut. Caden was thrilled. Andrew "knew he wanted one".
Boba Fett. Dave's favorite Star Wars character as a child, now a member of our family.
That evening, we headed to Z burger - bday boys choice.
Wouldn't have been complete without these crazies.
Cupcake time before bed (always a wise choice).
Blowing that candle.
That night I decorated the cake. We had a "Wet and Wild Spiderman Party" on Saturday morning.
Andrew was such a sweet helper!
Showing Grandma Dee Dee the cake.
Munchies.
Pizza time! He had so much fun - we have countless pictures with this huge smile.
Still wet and wild.
Getting ready for cake with some of his preschool buddies.

The party scene.

Seeing (and petting) the pigs and cows up close was a highlight.
