Will's baptism

We had the blessing of bringing Will before our church family last Sunday for his baptism. It was such a sweet day. My one regret was that I'd brought our camera and flip video camera (so I could share with my parents, who were sad to miss), and I didn't think to pull them out until we were standing up front. Thankfully Dave's mom was already taking pictures ;), so mom and dad, here you go!

the baptism (we had the privilege of having the orchestra that day, it was such a beautiful service!).

the hand-off (Dave had his hands full)

Lunch at our place afterwards - I had these "sweet prince" napkins, which seemed perfect.

The kids table - not sure how much they actually ATE, but they had fun :).

The "grown-ups", or so they think. Dave is reading from 'Guinness and God'.

Playing school. Andrew said this was his favorite part of the day.

Our boy - had to include this pic because it reminded me of some of my baby pics.

This shows his outfit, which was given to Caden (he also wore it for his baptism) by a dear couple/elder in our church.

precious boy.

talkin...such a typical expression.

the ladies

I love these women. We have the blessed privilege of meeting together every Weds morning to share our lives, study God's word, and learn, rejoice, grieve, and strive toward loving our God together. This pic was taken last Saturday when we gathered all of our families for dinner.

Amanda, Kato, Allyson, myself, Aimee, Sara, Cassie, Colleen, Jessica, and Katie.

the beach!

We spent 4 days at Bethany beach (DE) last week with the Choi's and had SO much fun! There were a number of things that didn't go right, so it's somewhat surprising that it was such a blast. First, the weather wasn't great (cool and cloudy) the first few days, and then Andrew started throwing up (and running a fever) in the middle of the night our first night there - seriously. This meant seeeveral loads of laundry, and moving Andrew and daddy up to the loft area for isolation. We were so thankful that no one else caught it (we were praying hard), and that Andrew was fever free and well enough to play by the time the weather improved Thursday. There were many pictures taken, so I did my best to choose the best to share here.

Caden was VERY excited to see the beach...a bit later he was not so excited to see mommy get close to the water.

Enjoying the boardwalk.

Walking...the boardwalk put the little ones to sleep :). Dave stayed back at the house with our little sickie.

Watching our silly boys

Checkin something out.

There was so much digging to do.

Caden starts to get nervous.

the beach - part 2

And then came the sun!!! We woke up to blue skies and a much healthier Andrew on Thursday morning, so we spent as much time as possible at the beach. It was so fun to see our boys get used to the ocean. Caden went from being terrified of seeing anyone else in the waves, to throwing a tantrum when we had to remove him from the waves ;). We LOVED watching them have SO much fun!

happy boys.

Back at the boardwalk the morning we left - trying to get a pic of all three boys.

After a minute - this is how things looked.

had to include a pic of Jen with her beach hair!

fun old friends!

We had SOOO much fun catching up with my old college friend Lindsey, and her husband Terry last week! They were in town to accept a huge award he won as manager of his hotel (Marriott), so we kidnapped them for a little OC dinner craziness.

It took us several attempts to take a normal pic...

This was more like us :). I love this friend, and soaked up every moment of our time together. We also got to spend a morning together in Bethesda later in the week - hitting up Starbucks, Georgetown Cupcake, the farmer's market, and a toy store (where she hooked Caden and Andrew up with little wind up toys). Such a fun friend....Caden was quite smitten too.

westbrook carnival

Our neighborhood elementary school held their annual carnival last week - we walked over, enjoyed some carnival fun, and then ate pizza and ice cream on the hill overlooking the field. I found out afterwards that Dave and Chris begged to go to this every year when they were in elementary school. There were TONS of people there - Andrew at one point said "Mom, I think the whole wooorld is here!".

It felt very weird to pay to go on a moon bounce when we own one, but they had three huge ones to choose from, and our boys enjoyed every second of their 6 minute bouncy madness.

what up.

Looking at all the people.

Getting a balloon sword and puppy - the front of the school is in the background. It was such a charming, beautiful Spring afternoon!
