A quick stop at home before getting on the road. Andrew opened his first birthday present- a new camera from Grandpa and Grandma! He was now officially ready to head to NYC with mom, Grandpa, and Grandma for a special pre-birthday weekend.
Grandpa Jack had never been to NYC before, which made it so incredibly FUN to show him around. We came out of the Lincoln Tunnel, straight into Times Square. The video camera was out the window, and he was filming live. So fun(ny). Andrew even spotted the incredible "Smoothini" (from America's Got Talent) biking by!! So thrilling!

We quickly settled into our room at The Lexington...
and then found dinner at a street fair right outside on Lexington Ave - the perfect place to grab dinner on the run.
A quick walk over to Time Square!
Where we hopped on a bus tour.
Back at home these two were were having adventures of their own with Daddy.
Inside camping is the best (and so is their dad).
Off to tour the city - a great way to start our trip.

The museum was very well done - with one of the firetrucks found in the rubble.
We ended this fun, full day with an incredibly yummy dinner in Little Italy.
The next morning we started bring and early at the Plaza for the NBC Today show!

The next morning it was time to officially celebrate this 9 year old!
We started the day with cinnamon rolls.
And a few presents before school.
Later that afternoon, opening presents before dinner with Grandpa Jerry and Grandma Dee Dee.
He was very excited.
A boy scout meeting was a fun way to celebrate too.

Lots of sugar this week!
Sunday afternoon the celebration continued with small family gathering.
