Bainbridge Island, here we come!

The big day had finally arrived...

We were on the ferry to our new home.  It was a foggy, cool morning.

But these guys were so excited to see their new house.

We made a quick (and necessary) stop for coffee on the way...

at Pegasus, the coffee shop where it all began.

And then made it to our house!

The moving truck was already there, so it was a quick scramble to show the kids the house, and then start checking off the inventory as boxes and furniture came inside.  Our favorite part of the day was when these two stopped by!  Janis happened to be in town from DC, so it was fun to celebrate her being at the center of another one of our major life events (I lived with them the Summer I met Dave).

We had many evening outings to this local beach (Lytle, just 3 minutes from our house). 

On our way out of Lytle - ferry passing in the background.  On foggy mornings, we hear the ferry horns from inside our house!  And there's always seals barking here offshore.

We met up with my dear friend Amy and her family to watch the Blue Angels practice over Lake Washington.

Our boys LOVED it.

This was such a fun day.

And it was such a JOY to see this dear dear friend.

Topped off by a beautiful ferry ride home.

 We felt settled into our house pretty quickly.

Caden and Will's bunk bed!  Grandpa Jack was kind to help us spray paint this blue right after we arrived.

The pinball machines at Walt's, a little store just down the road (in Lynwood Center).  I love that my boys will be able to walk/bike here when they get a little older ;).  They've also got great beers on tap, and great prices on their growlers.  Dad is happy about that.

The boys had fun creating their own snack shack out front.  We kept it classy for the new neighbors.
