Yep, we have matching t-shirts.
They're those kind of friends.
And we were so excited to have them come visit! Dave got to pick them up at the airport...
which meant getting to experience our beautiful ferry ride.
Coming into Bainbridge.
Our kids were so excited. Will and Andrew jumped right into super hero books :).
I don't know if I was more excited about the arrival of the Choi's or this box from my favorite bakery in DC.
We wasted no time, and took them straight to some of our favorite beaches.
Nothing like tide pools and fresh salt water air to east jet lag.
Can't believe this is where we live now!

The next day we took them into our little town of Winslow.

Exploring the wonders of Eagle Harbor bookstore. We spent a long time in here ;).
After having Pho for lunch, it was time for ice cream.
Mora is the BEST.
There was much energy to burn....
So we headed out to explore Fort Ward park.
Our spread of kids.
There were many battles to fight.
And views to take in.

Snacking on blackberries on the way back. It was about this time that all THREE of my boys had to poop. I've never been more grateful for an outhouse.
The next day we headed out for the Olympic Peninsula.
The Port Gamble General Store was the PERFECT stopping point for a delicious brunch.
The food was amazing.

Port Gamble was such a cute little town!
We then journeyed on to Hurricane Ridge! One of my favorite places.
The peaks were abnormally bare after the mild winter.
But seriously, how gorgeous is this!?!
This boy would sprint, and then walk, and then sprint, and then walk.

Love those faces. We found a wonderful spot for a picnic lunch.
Next stop was Lake Crescent. My mom's dear friends just happened to be gathering for Grandma's weekend at their cabin, so it was incredibly fun to pop by!
This is the INCREDIBLE view from the end of their dock.
A State park was right next to the Cabin, which was a perfect spot play for a few hours.
The water was beautifully clear and COLD!
They dared each other to dunk in.
We rented a paddle boat, which was more tiring than I expected!
But so breathtakingly gorgeous.
Again, can't believe we live here!

And of course we had to end with ice cream.
It was the picture PERFECT day, until this.
We were driving into the sun, which caused Dave to hit a random curb sticking out into the street, which wrecked his tire. We were thankful for AAA, and a discount tire shop just down the street.
And Costco pizza for dinner (so much for the fun Diner we had picked out).
And then we all piled in our mini van and drove home.
On Saturday, Dave and Wen-Tsing drove back to Sequim to pick up Dave's fixed car...
while Jen and I (lets be honest, mostly Jen), went to town on our weeds.
We've got moss to deal with this Spring, but it felt SO good to get those weeds out.
After a run to the beach, we hit up Island Cool for frozen yogurt.
It was so fun to have them come to Cross Sound for worship on Sunday!
Afterward, we headed to Poulsbo for lunch.
Somehow, always this. I'll never know what kind of battles they have fought.
After lunch, we stopped at the amazing Poulsbohemian for coffee.
And then popped into a marina down the street to see Sea Lions.
They come here every Spring to have their babies.
Sunday night was date night in the city.
Love my man.

We ate at Tilth, in Wallingford. This risotto was delicious.

Nighttime ferry ride home! We never get tired of this view.
Monday was our Seattle day.
We tried Top Pot donuts for the first time.
And then made our way up to the market.
So much love.
Seeing the infamous gum wall for the first time.

Taking the Monorail to the Seattle Center.
So we could visit Chihuly!

The outside sculptures were amazing too!
We ate mod pizza at the Armory. Love these crazies.
We walked from the Space Needle, down through Olympic Sculpture park, and then had a fun race to the ferry. But we made it.
Back home, we enjoyed our first dinner using our outdoor furniture!
Choi grabbed this pic of our living/dining room. Andrew has been so sweet with our Addy girl.
We love our deck!
Alas, it was sadly time for them to go. We love this family.
