Summer Lovin

While I was out in Seattle for Grandma Dot's funeral, the most anticipated week of the Summer began - Vacation Bible School!  Our church does an amazing job of running an incredibly fun and well run program.

 "Pat the Bat" (a VBS character) has been a regular at our lunch table lately.

The two Andrew's.  We've enjoyed having "big Andrew" stay with us for a few months this Summer.  Here they were making action movies (which were hilarious..you can see one on my FB page).

Pizza and popsicles at the the pool.  Andrew is wearing his camp shirt - he had a super week of day camp fun at his school.  And it ended up being a perfect week for me to have a "lighter load" at home (I was dealing with some health issues).  I love how the Lord knows exactly what we need.

 This has been a Summer of weddings for my sweet husband - I had to capture my place setting at this insanely beautiful wedding on the Eastern Shore.

We were all so giddy to have a weekend with Tia.  She took the big boys on a special bowling date on Saturday afternoon.

Summer is truly FLYIN by.  We've enjoyed being home and finally having time to connect with friends these past few weeks.  Andrew also had a big swimming milestone - jumping off the diving board with no life jacket, and swimming to the side (granted it was at our friends house in their small, quiet pool).  But we're excited about the progress he's made!

And lastly, we enjoyed meeting up with some friends at the Mill in Rock Creek Park this morning.  They actually had it running today, so our boys got to see how they made flour in the "olden days".

We're looking forward to celebrating Caden's birthday next weekend, one last wedding, and then we're Seattle bound for a few weeks!
