The Summer fun just keeps comin. I can't say enough how wonderful this Summer has been - MUCH to my surprise and joy. Yes, there are difficult days with crazy boys, but I am truly soaking up these unhurried days. So much of our fun isn't in pictures - playdates and pool dates with friends, lazy summer reading, late afternoon park runs, and sharing many meals with people we love. Here is my attempt to get caught up with our July pictures (there are embarrassingly few).
The 4th of July - we joined our neighborhood party and parade this year for the first time (we've been with friends the past few years).
Watermelon - a 4th of July must.
Lining up behind the Ambulance and Fire Truck for the parade through our neighborhood.
Playing at the park afterwards. Will is getting so big.
He can climb up the stairs, and go down the slide all by himself.
We had a string of INSANELY hot days last week. So what did this guy decide to do?
A little post-dinner cool off in the sprinkler.
Drink it in bud, drink it in.
And why not add some bubbles?
A Thursday craft day activity, with a few extra friends. Making prints by blowing bubbles mixed with paint, and then laying paper on top. I got the idea here : http://familyfun.go.com/crafts/soap-bubble-prints-667851/Initially I didn't think it was working because the colors were so light, but once they dried, it was fun.
Dinner with the Dienner's! Uncle Johnny, Cousin Betsy and her two kids came to town (from Chicago) for the weekend. It's always such a joy to see them, and our kids had a blast together (sadly, I didn't get any pictures of cousin Brett, who is the same age as Andrew - they had a little too much fun together). And Uncle Johnny is STILL remembered fondly for making up the "spanking store" during their last visit.

LOVE these precious pics of your boys!! Will is getting SO big! He looks like a little boy and not a baby any more! Miss you and can't wait to see ya'll!
